Here’s a photo of the Warner (Columbia) Ranch Studios today.

The Warner Ranch was demolished in the fall of 2023.  Here is one last photo of the Andersen home before it was torn down:

Father Knows Best was filmed at the Hollywood studios of Columbia Pictures, known as the Sunset Gower Studios.  Harry Cohn was the founder of the studios, leasing the lot at 6070 Sunset Boulevard in 1922.  In 1948, Columbia established Screen Gems there, a television arm.  It was the first studio to dedicate space soley for television programs.  Father Knows Best was shot on Stage 11 between 1954 and 1960.  In 1972, Columbia Pictures merged with Warner Brothers and ceased its operations at the Sunset and Gower lot.  Stage 11 has been torn down and the Technicolor building now stands in its place.  A big thank you to Rick Rogers for this information!
